Dudchany, Agricultural village in Novovorontsovka Raion, Ukraine
Dudchany is a village in Novovorontsovka Raion, Ukraine, that lies along the shore of a reservoir. The water divides the settlement into two separate sections, each sitting on opposite banks of the basin.
The settlement was established in the mid-nineteenth century as a farming community in the southern Ukrainian steppe. In 2020, administrative reforms changed regional boundaries and merged the area into a different raion.
The population of 2,043 residents maintained strong Ukrainian language traditions, with 95.91 percent speaking Ukrainian according to the 2001 census data.
The village can be reached by local roads that pass through fields and low hills. Visitors should expect limited public facilities and basic rural infrastructure when traveling to this area.
During the 2022 conflict, the village experienced strategic significance with its northern section returning to Ukrainian control on October 3rd.
