Muromskoy Vodokhranilishche, Stausee in der Ukraine
Muromskoy Vodokhranilishche is a small reservoir located on the Murom River near the village of Ruskie Tishky in Kharkiv District. The water body spans approximately 4 square kilometers with a length of about 3.5 kilometers and a maximum width of about 1 kilometer.
The reservoir was built in 1978 to supply fresh water to the city of Kharkiv and to serve as an irrigation source for agriculture. An earthen dam approximately 70 meters long was constructed east of the village of Ruskie Tishky to hold back the water.
The reservoir is used by local people primarily as a fishing destination where anglers regularly gather to catch various fish species. It serves as a meeting point for the community and plays a role in the local rhythm of life and leisure activities.
The site is easily accessible via public transport with convenient stops near the village of Ruskie Tishky. Visitors can walk along the grassy and bush-covered banks or find suitable fishing spots around the water.
The water holds fish such as carp and perch that grow larger and bite more readily than in many other regional waters. This makes it a popular destination for anglers hoping to catch trophy-sized fish.
