Saltivskyi District

Saltivskyi District is an administrative division in Kharkiv with residential complexes, parks, schools, and industrial facilities spread across the area. The district also contains multiple research institutes that contribute to its economy and development.

The district was created in 1937 from the division of an earlier administrative area and went through several name changes over the decades. It received its current name in 2022 as part of broader administrative changes.

The district has several cultural venues like youth centers, art schools, and music academies where residents regularly gather for activities and learning. These spaces shape everyday community life and offer places for people to connect with each other.

The area has nine clinics and medical centers providing healthcare services to residents throughout the district. Schools and public facilities are distributed across the neighborhoods, making most essential services accessible on foot.

The district has a specialized museum displaying artifacts and documents related to the war in Afghanistan. It stands as one of the few places in the city dedicated to this historical period and serves as an educational resource for visitors.
