Snopkivskyi park, Public park in Lviv, Ukraine
Snopkivskyi Park is a public park in Lviv, Ukraine, with walking paths, green spaces, and recreational areas spread throughout. Chestnut, lime, and maple trees line the routes and connect different sections of the grounds.
The site was built between 1959 and 1963 on former industrial land that had old sand and clay pits from earlier brick production. These abandoned quarries were transformed into the park.
The environmental education center within the park runs workshops where visitors can learn about nature and wildlife. A small animal enclosure there displays various species for guests to observe.
The park has multiple walking routes and is accessible on foot with good paths throughout the different areas. Visitors should plan for larger distances to explore and wear suitable footwear.
The grounds feature a large continuous flowering garden and a circular rose garden with around 40 different rose varieties. These garden sections display colorful plantings during the growing season.
