Khutir Nadia Park, Protected landscape art park in Kirovohrad Oblast, Ukraine
Khutir Nadia Park is a protected landscape art park on one hectare of land in Kirovohrad Oblast with natural pathways winding through regional vegetation. The site displays the typical plants and trees found in central Ukraine, along with its main buildings and open grounds.
The park was founded in 1975 on the estate of Ukrainian playwright Ivan Karpenko-Karyi, who lived there starting in 1887 after returning from political exile. His residence became a site of theatrical creation and today serves as a memorial to that era.
The site preserves memories of the Tobilevych family and Ukrainian theater through a literary museum and memorial building that still stands on the grounds. Visitors can see personal items and documents that show how this family contributed to the arts.
The site is accessible throughout the year with guided tours available at the museum complex and dedicated areas for learning activities. Visitors should expect natural pathways and conditions that change with the seasons.
The grounds hosted the September Gems theater festival, which started in 1970 and brings together performers and writers every year. This festival continues to be an important event for keeping Ukrainian theater traditions alive.
