Description
The monument for Vyacheslav Chornovil stands in front of Lviv Regional Council building and depicts a figure with his right arm raised upward. The three fingers pointing up form the Ukrainian trident symbol and define the appearance of this bronze memorial in the heart of the city.
History
The monument was unveiled on December 28, 2002, and honors a leader of the Ukrainian independence movement in the late 1980s. It was designed by sculptor Ivan Samotos and architect Vasyl Kamenshchyk.
