The park was established in 1961 on the former location of Grushki orchard, which remained outside Kyiv city limits until 1921.
The park serves as a central meeting point for local residents, hosting community events, concerts, and outdoor performances throughout the year.
Visitors can access the park from Vaclav Havel Boulevard, with several restaurants, including ORLY PARK and Figaro summer terrace, located near the entrance.
