Nyvky Park

Nyvky Park is a protected urban green space in Kyiv that covers roughly 50 hectares with dense woodlands, open grassland, winding paths, and multiple ponds scattered throughout. The landscape combines forest areas with clearings and water features that create different environments as you move through the grounds.

The park was officially protected in 1969, with further conservation measures added in the early 1970s to safeguard its natural features. These early steps ensured that the woodlands and water bodies would be preserved as the city grew around it.

Locals use the park year-round for picnics, jogging, and meeting with friends, making it a social hub where you can observe everyday city life. The wooded areas feel separate from the busy streets, offering residents a chance to spend time outdoors without leaving the neighborhood.

The park has multiple entry points accessible by public transport, with parking areas and accessible paths available for visitors. Wear sturdy shoes since pathways can be muddy or uneven depending on weather and season.
