Villa Zykovoy

Villa Zykovoy is a neoclassical residence on the southern coast of Crimea with symmetrically arranged rooms and a balanced facade. The building combines classical proportions with decorative stone elements that define its refined exterior.

The villa was built in 1914 under architect Pyotr Shchekotov's direction when Simeiz was becoming a retreat for Russian elites. This construction reflects how the region transformed through architecture in the early 20th century.

The villa shows how wealthy Russians of the early 20th century chose to live and what European architectural styles they valued. Its classical forms reflect a taste that drew from Italian and French traditions.
