Сакля Сабурова

Saburova Mansion is a residential apartment building in Simeiz that blends early 20th century design with colored stained glass windows and decorative metal roofing. The structure sits within the town and maintains its living spaces while serving as a protected architectural monument.

The building was constructed before 1912 by engineers N.P. Subbotin and V.D. Subbotin and purchased by Semyon Fedorovich Saburov in 1916. After nationalization in 1920, the three-room dwelling was repurposed as a resort hotel for visitors.

The building displays early Russian architectural features with regional design elements typical of Crimean homes. The colored stained glass windows and decorative metalwork give it a handcrafted quality that reflects how people valued artistic detail in their living spaces.

The building sits on a central street in Simeiz and is easy to find while walking through town. Since people live there, visitors should view it from outside and respect residents' privacy while appreciating its architectural features from the street.

The original house contained just three rooms before being expanded into a multi-room resort hotel after 1920. This transformation shows how private homes became public facilities during the Soviet period.
