Becky Branch Falls, waterfall
Becky Branch Falls is a small waterfall in Georgia that flows over rocks and forms a pool below. The site sits in a dense forest with tall trees, mosses, and wildflowers, with a trail and wooden bridge leading directly to this natural feature.
The area was named after Warwoman, a Cherokee woman who advised their leaders on matters of war and peace. William Bartram visited in 1775, while a railroad was later started here in the 1800s but abandoned during the Civil War.
The falls attract families and nature lovers who visit to spend time in the quiet forest setting. Visitors use the space for picnicking, photography, and short walks while enjoying the natural features of the creek and surroundings.
The trail is short and easy to walk, making it suitable for families with children. Parking is free at the trailhead near Clayton, and it is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
The falls are especially beautiful after rain when the water flows more strongly and creates finer mist. Many visitors find it particularly peaceful to stand in the shade of the trees and listen to the water rushing.
