Henry County is an administrative division in east central Indiana that covers a substantial area. New Castle serves as the main city, with several smaller towns scattered throughout the region.
The area was established in 1821 following the Delaware New Purchase, when the United States acquired land from Native Americans. It was named after Patrick Henry, a Virginia governor during the American Revolution.
