Casey, city in Illinois

Casey is a small city spanning just over two square miles across Clark and Cumberland counties, with most of it in Clark County. Quiet streets lined with closely spaced homes, simple shops, and welcoming restaurants give the place an easy-to-walk-through character where neighbors greet one another.

Casey grew in the late 1800s as settlers arrived and established farms in the area. Over time it became a small hub for farming and trade, and traces of that past remain visible in older buildings and stories shared by longtime residents.

The name Casey reflects the town's roots, and locals take pride in what their community has become. The giant sculptures have become symbols of the town's identity, woven into daily life and how residents see themselves.

Most places in Casey are within walking distance, making it easy to navigate and explore at a leisurely pace. Roads are quiet and well maintained, so getting around on foot or by car is both safe and comfortable.

A local artist named Jim Bolin created many of the giant sculptures here, with several holding world records for size, including the world's largest wind chime and an enormous rocking chair. These unusual creations transformed the town into a place where everyday objects become larger-than-life attractions.
