The International Boxing Hall of Fame is a museum in Canastota, New York, opened by the village in 1989 and located next to exit 34 of the New York State Thruway. It grew from a 1980s campaign by Ed Brophy to honour Canastota's world champions Carmen Basilio and his nephew Billy Backus. Inductee portraits by official artist Richard T. Slone, in the role since 1997, hang in the Hall.

Ed Brophy launched a 1980s campaign to honour Canastota's world champions Carmen Basilio and his nephew Billy Backus, and the village inaugurated the museum in 1989. Induction ceremonies have been held every second Sunday in June since 1990, except 2020 and 2021. An earlier hall, run by The Ring magazine at Madison Square Garden from 1954, closed in 1987 with 155 inductees.

Inductees are chosen by members of the Boxing Writers Association of America and an international panel of boxing historians, using screened public nominations. Since 2020 the Hall has inducted female boxers, and promoter Aileen Eaton became the first woman inducted in 2002.

The museum offers audio guides in several languages and hands-on stations for children and adults. A shop sells books, clothing and signed souvenirs from different eras of the sport.

Every June, former world champions, trainers and journalists travel to this small town for the induction weekend and sign autographs. Some fans cross oceans to attend the ceremony and weekend events.
