Arkansas Twister, Wooden roller coaster at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, Arkansas, United States.
Arkansas Twister is a wooden roller coaster at Magic Springs and Crystal Falls theme park. The ride climbs a 95-foot lift hill and then plunges down a steep 92-foot drop at a 45-degree angle, taking passengers through the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains.
The ride first opened in 1978 as Florida Hurricane at Circus World theme park in Florida. Magic Springs purchased and relocated it to Arkansas in 1991, where it operates today.
During its time at Circus World, the attraction operated under the name Michael Jackson's Thrill Coaster, reflecting the performer's connection to the park.
Riders must be at least 48 inches tall to board this coaster. The ride reaches speeds of about 50 miles per hour along a track that runs roughly a mile in length.
The structure was built using Douglas fir lumber and originally operated under a different name at another park before being relocated. Each train holds six cars and was manufactured by a specialist European builder.
