14 Wall Street, Neoclassical skyscraper in Financial District, Manhattan, US

The building rises 164 meters into the Manhattan skyline with 32 floors and features a distinct seven-story pyramidal roof at its crown point.

Completed in 1912 as headquarters for Bankers Trust Company, the structure replaced the Stevens Building and Gillender Building at 12-16 Wall Street.

The building reflects the financial power of early 20th century New York through its granite facade and Greek architectural elements incorporated into the design.

Located at the intersection of Wall Street and Nassau Street, the office building contains 34 elevators and approximately one million square feet of workspace.

Engineers constructed deep caisson foundations reaching 65 feet below street level through quicksand to secure the skyscraper to bedrock.
