Osage Beach, Lake resort city in Missouri, United States.
Osage Beach is a city in Missouri that spans Camden County and Miller County along the shore of Lake of the Ozarks. The settlement stretches across several coves and peninsulas, with neighborhoods, shops, and marinas shaping the landscape.
The settlement was originally called Zebra when it was founded in 1886 and received its present name in 1935. City status followed in 1959.
The city maintains strong connections to local traditions through seasonal festivals, community gatherings, and regular events at City Hall throughout the year.
The city is difficult to navigate without a car, as roads and neighborhoods spread over several miles along sections of shoreline. Grand Glaize-Osage Beach Airport lies within city limits and serves smaller aircraft.
The population grew from about seven hundred residents in 1960 to over four thousand six hundred in 2020. This growth reflects the rise of the city as a lakeside resort.
