East Potomac Park, Urban recreational park in Southwest Washington D.C., United States

East Potomac Park spans 394 acres on a constructed island between the Washington Channel and Potomac River, southeast of the Jefferson Memorial.

The United States Army Corps of Engineers initiated the park's construction in 1882 through a land reclamation project that created 730 acres of new terrain.

The park features multiple sports facilities, including a golf course, tennis courts, and athletic fields that serve the Washington D.C. community throughout the year.

Visitors can access the park through Ohio Drive SW, with operating hours from 6 AM to midnight and public transportation available via DC Circulator's National Mall Route.

The park contains 1,800 Japanese Cherry trees planted along Ohio Drive during the Johnson administration, creating seasonal displays along the waterfront paths.
