Halibut Point State Park, Nature reserve on Atlantic coastal granite cliffs in Rockport, US.
The park spans across rugged granite edges where multiple quarries, tidal pools, and walking paths merge with coastal vegetation along the Atlantic Ocean.
During World War II, the park grounds housed a fire-control tower to detect enemy vessels, while earlier serving as a major granite quarry until 1929.
Massachusetts Department of Conservation maintains interpretive programs about granite industry heritage and coastal ecology in the visitor center throughout the year.
The park operates daily from 8:00 AM to sunset with parking fees of $5 for state residents and $20 for others between May and October.
From the granite cliffs, visitors can spot Mount Agamenticus in Maine and the Isles of Shoals off New Hampshire, reaching 40 miles of visibility.
