The park began as a picnic spot in 1898 near beech trees along the river bend, later expanding with mechanical rides after World War II.
The facility maintains its status as a regional entertainment center by hosting major drag racing competitions and seasonal community celebrations throughout the year.
The park provides 500 camping spaces, including 250 sites with full utility connections, alongside free parking and complimentary sunscreen for day visitors.
The property contains one of North America's oldest continuously operating drag strips, which regularly hosts national automotive competitions and racing events.
