Eloise B. Houchens Center

Eloise B. Houchens Center is a two-story Greek Revival structure located on Adams Street featuring carefully crafted interior details. The rooms showcase inlaid wood flooring, carved fireplaces, and polished woodwork that reflect the building's original craftsmanship.

Built in 1904 as the residence of Francis L. Kister, who served as mayor of Bowling Green, the building reflected the architectural standards of its era. The structure later transitioned from serving as a Girls Club to becoming a dedicated center focused on women's needs and community service.

The center serves as a gathering place for the community, particularly supporting women's networks and social connections. Visitors can observe how the space facilitates connections through events and activities designed for community members.
