55 Central Park West

55 Central Park West is a 19-story residential building with a striking brick facade that transitions from dark red at the base to white at the top. Lower floors contain apartments with three to six rooms, while upper levels house larger residences including a 12-room duplex penthouse.

The architectural firm Schwartz & Gross designed and completed this residence in 1929, during Manhattan's construction boom before the Great Depression. The building stands as a testament to the Art Deco architecture of that era.
