The Prasada, Apartment building at Central Park West Historic District, United States.
The Prasada stands twelve stories tall on Central Park West, featuring a recessed portico entrance supported by four two-story Roman Doric columns.
Construction of this residential building took place between 1904 and 1907, with significant renovations in 1919 that removed the original mansard roof.
Three luxury apartments occupied each floor, including an eight-room apartment at the rear and two ten-room residences facing Central Park.
The building incorporates an open court with stained-glass skylights illuminating the lobby, while a dry moat separates the ground floor from street level.
Initial construction costs totaled 250,000 dollars, equivalent to more than 7 million dollars when adjusted to 2022 values.
