Alpen Blitz, Steel roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure, United States

Alpen Blitz was a steel roller coaster with a compact track that twisted through a figure-eight pattern within an oval area. The train with 10 vehicles carried 4 passengers each and allowed guests to experience a brief but engaging ride.

Manufactured by Schwarzkopf, the ride operated at Six Flags Great Adventure from 1976 to 1978. It replaced the earlier Jumbo Jet attraction and represented a phase of the park's development featuring international roller coaster designs.

The station building displays Swiss chalet-style architecture, reflecting how European design influences shaped American amusement parks during the 1970s. Visitors can observe these architectural details and see how international inspirations were incorporated into the park.

Visitors needed to be at least 44 inches tall (112 cm) to ride. The park experience was generally efficient given the ride's capacity to process a good number of guests regularly.

This powered coaster maintained a constant speed of 10 mph (16 km/h) throughout its entire journey. This design meant visitors experienced a different kind of thrill compared to typical gravity-driven roller coasters.
