The Atwood Stadium contains 11,000 seats and is situated in the Carriage Town district of downtown Flint, Michigan, near the university campus.
Edwin W. Atwood donated land for the stadium construction in 1929, and the facility initially hosted pre-season games for the Detroit Tigers and Lions.
The stadium holds the annual Vehicle City Gridiron Classic at the start of high school football season, bringing together multiple local teams.
The stadium features a FieldTurf surface with permanent lines for regulation high school football, soccer, and lacrosse games under Kettering University management.
A record attendance of 20,600 people gathered at the stadium during the 1950 Thanksgiving Day game between Flint Central and Flint Northern.
