Barber's Point Light, Historical lighthouse at Lake Champlain, Essex County, United States.
The square limestone structure rises 36 feet above Lake Champlain with a white tower and black trim on the residential section.
The Lighthouse Board allocated $15,000 for construction in 1870, but land title issues delayed the project completion until 1873.
The first keeper, Civil War veteran James E. Barnes, who lost his leg at Petersburg, maintained the lighthouse from 1873 to 1883.
The lighthouse ceased operations in 1935 when authorities replaced it with an automated steel tower and sold the building for private use.
The structure includes a barn, added for the keeper's horse due to the remote location on Lake Champlain's eastern shoreline.
