Bedrock Gardens, Garden and sculpture park in Lee, New Hampshire.
Bedrock Gardens is a park in Lee built on the grounds of a former dairy farm, with cultivated gardens spread across about 20 acres. The property features beds of perennials and unusual trees and shrubs, apple trees trained on a diamond-patterned fence structure, formal garden areas with pools and fountains, and a wildlife pond.
The site was once an active dairy farm with a 1740 farmhouse that later fell into disuse. Development of the gardens began in 1980, transforming the abandoned property into what it is today.
Farm tool sculptures placed throughout the gardens connect the site's agricultural past with contemporary art. As you walk the paths, these metal pieces feel like natural parts of the landscape rather than added decorations.
The park has a large parking area with nearly 100 spaces and restroom facilities. Walking trails of varying difficulty wind through the grounds and let you explore at your own pace.
Apple trees grow on a diamond-patterned fence, trained in a traditional horticultural method that creates a striking visual feature. This technique allows the trees to produce more fruit while forming an eye-catching geometric pattern.
