Blair County Courthouse

Blair County Courthouse is a stone structure built in Gothic Revival style, distinguished by two square towers with pyramidal roofs and a taller clock tower with a pointed stone spire rising from its peak. The five-story central tower dominates the streetscape and features clock faces visible from multiple directions around the building.

The structure was completed in 1875 to 1876 as the administrative center of Blair County. A substantial three-story addition was constructed in 1906 to accommodate the expanding needs of county government and court operations.

The courthouse functions as the civic heart of Hollidaysburg, where residents conduct legal matters and the community gathers for important civic events. Its prominent placement in the town center reflects how central this institution is to local life.

The stonework throughout the structure features intricate Gothic details carved directly into the exterior walls, from decorative capitals atop pillars to ornamental molding around the towers.
