Casparus F. Pruyn House

The Casparus F. Pruyn House is a two-story residential building in Federal style with five window bays, stone lintels, and symmetrically placed chimneys. The structure sits on a five-acre property that includes a carriage house, smokehouse, woodshed, and a relocated historic schoolhouse.

The house was built between 1824 and 1836 as the residence of Casparus F. Pruyn, who worked as a business agent for the Van Rensselaer family. His role managed the family's extensive property interests throughout the region.
