CentrePointe, Lexington, Mixed-use development in downtown Lexington, United States
CentrePointe is a mixed-use complex in downtown Lexington that spans multiple floors with diverse functions and tenants. Office areas, residential units, retail shops, and two hotel buildings occupy connected spaces throughout the development.
Construction started in 2013 after an initial proposal in 2008, following the removal of several historic downtown buildings. The project replaced older commercial blocks that had shaped the earlier character of the district.
The development shows how downtown Lexington brings together shopping, living, and working under one roof for different types of visitors. Residents, office workers, and shoppers move through connected spaces that blend residential comfort with commercial activity.
The complex features underground parking connected to its various functions, making it easy to access shops and hotels without going outside. Visitors can move through the building between retail areas and accommodations using interior walkways and elevators.
Early designs planned a much taller structure that would have dominated Lexington's skyline before being scaled back. The final version keeps a lower profile while still functioning as a major urban anchor.
