Cohoes Music Hall, Second Empire theatre in Cohoes, US

The Cohoes Music Hall occupies the third and fourth floors of a four-story brick building with limestone accents and green marble street-level facade.

Local businessmen James Masten and William Acheson established the venue in 1874, investing 60,000 dollars in its construction by Nichols and Halcott from Albany.

The theater space features a 375-seat auditorium with a balcony level, where numerous performers including Buffalo Bill Cody and Sarah Bernhardt appeared on stage.

The box office at 58 Remsen Street opens 90 minutes before scheduled performances, with regular office hours Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The building served multiple functions through its history, housing the post office, city library, and First National Bank while maintaining theatrical performances.
