Confederate Memorial in Mayfield

The Confederate Memorial in Mayfield is a granite monument featuring an obelisk-shaped shaft at its center, flanked by benches and light fixtures on each side. The structure displays various carved details and sits prominently on the courthouse square.

The memorial was erected in 1920 by the McNeal Marble Company from Georgia and commissioned by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
