Devil's Hole State Park

Devil's Hole State Park extends along the Niagara River Gorge, featuring steep cliffs, dense forests, and numerous hiking trails overlooking rushing waters.

During the War of 1812, British forces and Native American allies executed a strategic ambush against American troops in the area of Devil's Hole.

The park's land carries traces of Native American settlements that preceded European arrival, with archaeological evidence of their presence along the Niagara River.

The park provides designated parking areas, maintained pathways, fishing spots along the Niagara River, and picnic facilities for day visitors throughout the year.

A network of stone staircases carved into the gorge walls leads visitors down 400 feet to reach the base of the Niagara River rapids.
