Eaton Center

Eaton Center is a glass and steel skyscraper in downtown Cleveland with 28 floors that rises prominently above the surrounding business district. Its reflective facade creates a distinctive silhouette in the skyline when viewed from different angles throughout the city.

The building was completed in 1981 on the site of the former St. John's College, marking the shift from educational use to commercial development in downtown Cleveland. This transformation reflected the city's economic changes during the early 1980s expansion period.

The building represents the architectural evolution of Cleveland's business district, designed by renowned firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP.

The building is accessible via the main streets of the business district and has multiple entrances for different sections. Keep in mind that this is an active office building, so access to certain interior areas may be restricted to office workers.

The structure ranks as one of the city's tallest concrete buildings, setting it apart from the many steel-frame towers in the region. This construction choice provided distinctive structural qualities that have proven durable over decades.
