Endless Mountains, Mountain range and cultural region in northeastern Pennsylvania, United States.

Endless Mountains form a dissected plateau of sedimentary rock spanning multiple counties with peaks reaching 2,693 feet across northeastern Pennsylvania. The region encompasses 16 state parks and an extensive network of hiking trails throughout the area.

The area was originally inhabited by Munsee-Lenape and Susquehannock tribes before European settlement began in 1768 through treaties. British, Irish, and German immigrants then arrived and established themselves throughout the region.

Agricultural communities, particularly Mennonite and Amish groups, farm the fertile valleys and shape daily life across the region with their traditional practices. These settlements remain central to how people live and work here today.

The region is accessible year-round, with winter skiing and summer hiking throughout the many parks and trail systems. Multiple entry points serve different areas, so visitors can choose access points based on their interests.

A horse race at Camptown inspired a Stephen Foster song that became a classic, unexpectedly connecting the region to American popular culture. This musical reference remains a surprising thread linking the area to the broader national heritage.
