Clemuel Ricketts Mansion
Clemuel Ricketts Mansion, Georgian mansion near Ganoga Lake, Pennsylvania, United States.
The sandstone mansion features two-and-a-half stories with walls two feet thick and an L-shaped design on the shore of Ganoga Lake.
The mansion, constructed between 1852 and 1855, served as a hunting lodge, tavern, post office, and hotel throughout the nineteenth century.
The North Mountain House hotel at the mansion attracted numerous visitors from metropolitan areas, offering activities such as tennis, golf, and rifle shooting.
The mansion currently functions as the headquarters for the Ganoga Lake Association and remains closed to general public access.
The property hosted the first summer school in the United States during 1876 and 1877, where Joseph Rothrock conducted educational programs.
