Fairborn Twin Cinemas

Fairborn Twin Cinemas is a two-screen movie theater designed in the Moderne architectural style with streamlined metal detailing. The building features a circular lobby with decorative ceiling work and ornamental band elements throughout.

This building opened in 1948 near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and served as an entertainment hub for the local community. It remained open until 2000 when it ceased operations and was transferred to an arts organization.

The interior features murals and decorative details honoring World War II military service, reflecting the community's deep ties to aviation history. These artistic elements tell the story of the town and its historical connection to the nearby air force base.

The theater is located on South Broad Street and is easily accessible from downtown Fairborn. The building has been restored in recent years and is now open to the public for events and cultural programming.

The theater received National Register of Historic Places designation in 2005, honoring its architectural and cultural significance. This recognition acknowledges the building's role as an important location in Fairborn's urban history.
