The symmetrical structure stretches 51 meters across its facade, featuring two tall minarets, ribbed cupolas, and intricate mosaics covering its exterior walls.
The madrasah construction began in 1619 under ruler Yalangtush Bakhodur, with architect Abdujabor completing the project in 1636 to mirror the Ulugbek Madrasah.
The entrance portal displays unusual tiger motifs with sun symbols on their backs, demonstrating a departure from traditional Islamic decorative restrictions.
Guided tours include access to student cells, classrooms, and inner courtyard areas, while the minarets offer views across Registan Square.
The swastika symbol positioned above the entrance arch represents fertility, complementing the white deer chase scenes depicted in the surrounding mosaic work.
