Mausoleum of Abu Mansur al-Maturidi

The Mausoleum of Abu Mansur al-Maturidi is a religious building in Samarkand with a distinctive double dome covered in blue majolica tiles. The interior holds a white marble tombstone with an inscription, and arched windows pierce the dome structure to allow light inside.

The site was originally the burial place of a major Islamic theologian who lived in the 10th century and greatly influenced Islamic jurisprudence. The current building was reconstructed in modern times while maintaining its role as a memorial to this important scholar.
