Municipio San Casimiro

San Casimiro is a municipality in Aragua state, Venezuela, encompassing an expansive territory with four distinct administrative parishes organized under its jurisdiction.

The settlement grew from the town of Güiripa and developed through colonial times after Captain Miguel Francisco Reina acquired the land in 1725. This early land acquisition established the foundation for the municipality's eventual formation.

The municipality preserves Catholic Church records dating back to 1785, documenting local families through birth, marriage, and death registers that span generations.

The municipality is best accessed via the existing road network connecting through Aragua state. Visitors should expect that infrastructure in rural areas is less developed than in larger urban centers.

Coffee cultivation played a transformative role in the municipality's economic history during the 18th and 19th centuries. This agricultural focus attracted workers and families, becoming the driving force behind sustained population growth.
