Mercantil Tower

Mercantil Tower is a modern office building in Caracas' financial district, rising with a glass facade and straight architectural lines. The structure contains 40 floors of corporate offices that serve financial sector companies.

Construction started in 1979 under architect Manuel Fuentes and finished in 1984 as the country experienced economic growth. The building became one of Venezuela's tallest structures during this period of development.

The tower stands as a representation of Venezuelan financial growth during the 1980s, functioning as the headquarters for Banco Mercantil.

The building is located on Avenida Andrés Bello in central Caracas and is easily reached by public transit. Note that office access is restricted to business purposes, so visitors cannot typically enter the building freely.
