Tiféret Israel Synagogue

The Tiféret Israel Synagogue functions as the headquarters of the Israelite Association of Venezuela, serving the Jewish population of Caracas through religious services and gatherings.

Construction of the synagogue began in 1956 after the Sephardic Jewish community acquired land in Maripérez to replace an older synagogue demolished for highway construction.

The synagogue conducts services following Sephardic rites, maintaining traditional customs through religious ceremonies, educational programs, and community celebrations throughout the year.

The synagogue includes facilities for multiple community functions, offering spaces for regular prayer services, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, and wedding ceremonies.

In 2009, the synagogue experienced an attack that prompted increased security measures and led to the conviction of six individuals, demonstrating the resilience of the Jewish community.
