The construction of Torre Polar I began in 1951 and concluded in 1954, marking its position as the first skyscraper built in the capital city of Caracas.
The building displays a large neon sign with the Polar brand typography on its exterior, which included dynamic lighting effects until 2010.
The structure serves as the headquarters for Empresas Polar corporation and contains multiple office spaces across its seventeen floors.
The building underwent a significant transformation in 1981, replacing its original greenish glass facade with a dark blue exterior that remains today.
