Cayos Francisquí, Caribbean cays in Los Roques Archipelago, Venezuela.
Cayos Francisquí is a trio of coral formations in Los Roques Archipelago off the coast of Venezuela. Each of the three cays - Francisquí de Abajo, Francisquí del Medio, and Francisquí de Arriba - features white sand beaches and shallow turquoise waters.
The name comes from an interpretation of the English word 'key', originally referring to Francis Key before being adapted to Spanish as Francisquí. The islands form part of Venezuela's Federal Dependencies and fall within the Los Roques National Park marine protection zone.
The islands belong to Francisco de Miranda Island Territory and represent a significant marine conservation area in the Venezuelan Caribbean.
Access is by boat departing from Gran Roque Island, with multiple departures throughout the day to suit different activities. Visit during calm water conditions and good visibility to fully enjoy snorkeling and swimming.
The inner bay creates a natural coral ring where countless fish species swim openly in crystal clear water. This protected lagoon lets visitors observe the marine variety without effort or much planning.
