Lục Ngạn, Rural district in Bắc Giang Province, Vietnam.
Lục Ngạn is a rural district in Bắc Giang Province in northeastern Vietnam, organized into two townships and twenty-three communes. The landscape consists mainly of cultivated fields and orchards spread across gently rolling terrain.
The district was part of the ancient Văn Lang kingdom during the Hong Bang period before becoming part of Bắc Giang Province in its modern form. This early connection to Vietnam's origins remains part of the region's identity.
Farming shapes daily life here, with rice paddies and fruit orchards spreading across the villages and surrounding land. The way locals work these fields reflects traditions that have lasted for many generations.
The district is reachable from Hanoi by car or public bus in about two hours. Visit during dry season when roads are in good condition and farming activities are most visible.
The Suoi Mo Spring flows between Huyen Dinh and Yen Tu mountains, creating natural waterfalls and rock formations along its path. This water source is significant to local residents and offers a rare natural feature in an otherwise agricultural landscape.
