Han River Bridge

The Han River Bridge spans 487.7 meters across the Han River, connecting the eastern and western districts of Da Nang with two 201-meter spans.

Constructed between 1997 and 2000, this bridge marked a turning point in Vietnamese engineering as the first locally designed and built swing bridge in the country.

The bridge functions as a meeting point for Da Nang residents who gather along its walkways to view the river and participate in evening social activities.

The concrete structure carries vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists across the Han River, while its 25-meter clearance allows maritime traffic to pass underneath.

The bridge rotates 90 degrees on its axis during scheduled nighttime hours, permitting larger vessels to navigate through the waterway.
