Linh Ung Pagoda, Buddhist pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula, Da Nang, Vietnam.
Linh Ung Pagoda is a Buddhist temple on the Son Tra Peninsula featuring a main hall, lecture spaces, gardens, and 18 white marble Arhat statues representing different emotions. The entire complex covers around 20 hectares with multiple areas designed for prayer and reflection.
A fisherman discovered an ancient Lady Buddha statue during Emperor Minh Mang's reign, which led to the creation of a shrine at this location. This discovery became the foundation for the temple that developed over time.
The site displays statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, and the Buddha Tripitaka with four Guardians that represent important figures in Buddhist tradition. Visitors can observe how local believers use these spaces for daily worship and meditation.
The temple sits about 10 kilometers northeast of Da Nang city center and is accessible by motorbike or taxi with no entrance fee. The path is well-marked, and visitors should bring sturdy shoes and water when exploring the grounds.
The complex features a 67-meter-tall Lady Buddha statue standing on a 35-meter-wide lotus base, which is the tallest of its kind in Vietnam. This monumental figure can be seen from far away and dominates the peninsula's skyline.
