Santa Catarina Park, Public park in Funchal, Portugal
Santa Catarina Park spans 36,000 square meters of green space, featuring walking paths and multiple aviaries overlooking the Bay of Funchal.
The park's location originally contained a wooden chapel built in the early 1400s, later replaced with a stone structure during the 1600s.
Throughout the grounds, visitors encounter various sculptures, including representations of notable figures, a farmer statue, and a female torso monument.
The park welcomes visitors from 7:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, offering facilities such as children's playgrounds, restrooms, and numerous benches along the paths.
Two vintage machines remain on display within the park grounds: one previously used for grape crushing and another for asphalt road construction.
