CR7 Museum, Football museum in Funchal, Portugal
The CR7 Museum is a football museum in Funchal on the island of Madeira dedicated to the career of Cristiano Ronaldo. The exhibition displays more than 200 trophies, medals, and awards the player has won at different clubs, alongside personal memorabilia and interactive zones.
The museum opened in December 2013 and moved to a larger space beneath the Pestana CR7 Hotel in June 2016. Since then it has charted the entire arc of the player's career from his early days to recent achievements.
The museum takes its name from the initials and jersey number of the footballer and attracts fans from around the world who follow his career. Visitors can also take photos in a replica dressing room alongside the exhibits, highlighting the interactive nature of the space.
A weekday visit is recommended when fewer people are around and the rooms feel more relaxed. The display cases are well lit and positioned at a height that allows children to view the items on show.
Alongside the major trophies are boots and shirts worn in decisive matches displayed behind glass. A section features life-size figures of the player at different stages of his career, showing the evolution of his style and haircuts.
