Hotel Britania, Art Deco hotel near Avenida da Liberdade, Portugal
Hotel Britania contains 33 rooms with marble bathrooms, featuring round stone windows and an arched entrance in Santo António district of Lisbon.
Portuguese modernist architect Cassiano Branco designed this 1944 building, which remains the only unaltered hotel from that period in Lisbon.
The hotel interior displays original cork floors, brass fittings, and a vintage barber shop that represent Portuguese architectural elements of the 1940s.
The establishment offers buffet breakfast with local products, 24-hour reception, air conditioning, and wireless internet access throughout all rooms.
Each room measures at least 22 square meters and includes marble bathrooms with double glazing, maintaining the original Art Deco specifications.
